Twenty Years of Dedication at TLC San Diego: Meet Mrs. Jennifer
As one of The Learning Choice Academy's most experienced educators, Mrs. Jennifer Jacobus brings two decades of passion and dedication to her role as an Educational Partner supporting the Homeschool Program at our San Diego site. Her unwavering commitment to personalized education has made her an invaluable member of the TLC family. Get to know a little more about Mrs. Jennifer, as our students affectionately call her, in her own words below.
What do you love about TLC? Being at TLC for twenty years, my favorite thing is the passion for teaching that teachers here possess, the attentive dedication to students, and the compassion of our staff. This is what sets us apart from other schools.
What's the best part about your role? The best part of my job is the children! The biggest challenge is there is never enough time!
How do you get involved at TLC? I am involved with many community engagement activities with my homeschooling students! We love our Show and Tell time every Friday! Also, our collaboration times are fun and build leadership skills and time together with classmates learning with engaging lessons! My favorite events are educational field trips and special events like Project Showcase, Kindergarten, 5th grade, & 8th grade promotions, & Senior Graduation.
Fun Facts about Mrs. Jennifer
- I enjoy hot yoga for relaxation and keeping fit
- Traveling is a passion, especially camping with our RV
- Getting together with family and friends for dinners and playing games is a favorite
- My most adventurous accomplishment was hiking up to Yosemite Falls
- I'm a pianist who loves Yiruma's music
- My favorite sandwich is a BLT with avocado
- I can't live without coffee creamer in my fridge
- When I was 5, I wanted to be a teacher—and I chose the right profession!
