At The Learning Choice Academy, we understand that homeschooling is a deeply personal choice for each family. Some choose homeschool for the flexible schedule it allows; others for the autonomy and ownership in your child’s education that it provides. Others choose homeschooling for the joy of teaching your child and spending time with them. Whatever your reasons for choosing to homeschool, our tuition-free Homeschool Program offers the freedom to design your child's education while providing the resources and guidance so you don’t have to go it alone.
Homeschool With a Trusted Partner
If the idea of homeschooling is intriguing, but also overwhelming, think of our Homeschool Program as the perfect partner to help you navigate this adventure.
Each family in our program is assigned a dedicated Educational Partner (EP) who collaborates with parents and students to develop a personalized learning plan. These credentialed teachers serve as essential guides, helping families navigate curriculum choices, set academic goals, and ensure students remain on track for grade-level achievement and beyond. You’ll meet with your EP every 6 weeks to check-in, get questions answered, and create your next steps.
Included in our tuition-free program is access to our catalog of curriculum options for TK-12th grade students. Whether you know just the perfect curriculum for your child’s education, or you would like some guidance to find the right fit for your family, our curriculum catalog has a wide variety of popular programs and our EP can guide you through the choices.
Flexibility That Fits Your Family
Every family is unique, and so is their approach to learning. Our Homeschool Program offers resources and guidance, not restrictions. You’ll be able to create a schedule that works around your family's needs, whether that means taking field trips on weekdays, traveling during the school year, or adjusting lessons to match your child's learning style. You maintain control over your educational goals while we provide a framework to achieve them.
Community Connection
While homeschooling offers independence, it doesn't mean isolation. Our families have access to enriching arts programs, field trips, and community events where students connect with peers and families build lasting friendships. Whether you want full engagement or occasional participation, the choice is yours.
Best of all, our comprehensive support system is completely free. We believe every family should have access to quality educational choices without financial barriers. The Learning Choice Academy (TLC) is a tuition-free TK-12 public charter school serving families for over 20 years in Chula Vista, La Mesa, and San Diego.
