San Diego Air & Space Museum – Space at Your Place
Live Virtual field trip for grades K-6th
Explore the newly renovated exhibit, SPACE: Our Greatest Adventure, at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, learn about life on the International Space Station, and design your own paper rocket, all from the comfort of your own home on Monday, December 7 at 2:00 pm. This program will include 45 minutes of facilitated programming and 15 minutes of “Ask an Educator” to answer your space questions.
To complete the engineering challenges, the SDASM educators will use 2-3 pieces of paper, scissors, tape, and a straw and/or pencil. If your students do not have these materials in their homes, junk mail, newspaper, even aluminum foil will work too!
- Please RSVP for your student(s) only and add their name(s) and grade(s).
- Field trip recommended for students in grades Kindergarten through 6th.
- The maximum participation is 100 students. First-come, first-served.
- Parents should not be included on the RSVP but are invited to observe and help facilitate their student’s virtual field trip and engineering challenges.
