Salt Marsh Secrets – Tijuana Estuary Virtual Field Trip

Salt Marsh Secrets (3rd-5th) at the Tijuana Estuarine Research Reserve – Virtual Field Trip

In this program, students will discover salt marsh plant and animal species using observational skills, movement, and nature journaling techniques. We’ll focus on the plants’ adaptations to salty ocean water in the largest coastal wetland in southern California.
Join PORTS at Tijuana Estuary Natural Preserve to explore how the secrets of the salt marsh help to study and protect our changing climate on Friday, March 19 at 10:00 am.  You can expect to join our interpreters as they virtually guide students in building observation skills through nature journaling, discover salt marsh habitats and adaptations, or explore some of the real-time data to monitor the health of estuaries.

A link to join the live virtual field trip will be shared with students that RSVP.
