UPDATE: For the latest information regarding how The Learning Choice Academy is adapting in response to COVID-19, please refer to this page on our website. We will use that page as a central place for updates and information regarding COVID-19.
In light of the recent developments with COVID-19 and with the safety of our students and staff as our top priority, The Learning Choice Academy is moving to independent study (homeschool) for all school sites effective Monday, March 16.
This is the primary model of our school and we are confident students will be able to work at home with the support of their Educational Partner.
Educational Partners will be reaching out to families on their roster to best determine individual needs starting on Monday, March 16. We’ve made some schedule adjustments to accommodate the current circumstances:
Meeting Week will be moved to March 30 through April 3 and families will make arrangements with their Educational Partner to meet virtually or in person as a small group. If possible, classes will resume the week of April 21, immediately following spring break, at which time we will evaluate the situation further.
All services will be done virtually or rescheduled. IEPs may be held virtually in order to meet the necessary timelines. Families will be contacted with virtual meeting information (Google Hangout or Zoom).
Agreements to pay, invoices or reimbursements can be submitted electronically to email@example.com or mailed to:

All field trips and events are suspended until further notice. If the event or field trip is not available to be rescheduled then refunds will be processed and mailed within three weeks. Registered participants will be notified of the status one week prior to the event. We have to follow the direction of all sponsoring organizations.
March 16-March 27: Independent Study/TLC campus closed to students
March 30-April 3: Meeting Week
April 6-17: Spring Break
April 21-24: Classes resume (please note: this date is tentative only and will be postponed if conditions warrant. Please check this page regularly for the latest updates and news).
TLC is committed to the safety of all our students, staff and families and will be in communication regarding any timely updates. If you need assistance or support, your Educational Partner will be your first point of contact. Educational Partners can be reached through their office line or by email. All staff contact information is listed on our website under staff directory. Thank you for your trust, flexibility and support as we work together to navigate this COVID-19 pandemic while ensuring educational services are continued.
