Reuben H. Fleet Science Center – Forensic Detectives Workshop

Participate in a Forensic Detective workshop for students in grades 4-7 only available as part of a school group. In this “mysterious” program, students use chemistry, physics, and observation skills to piece together evidence and crack the case. They learn how to classify mysterious powders, calculate the pH of soils, and perform chromatography to separate pigments. Explore all of the science museum’s galleries including the new exhibit, Pause/Play closing January 5. The Fleet’s popular exhibition, Pause|Play, is an invitation for the young and the young-at-heart to leave the digital world behind, hit pause on their busy lives and recapture the nostalgia of play. The exhibition features some of your favorite playground activities and gives them a scientific twist. A 1 pm IMAX (revised), Turtle Odyssey tells the heartwarming story of one tiny sea turtle’s big adventure. Based in Australia, and narrated by Russell Crowe, Turtle Odyssey explores the unique lifecycle of an Australian green sea turtle named Bunji and her incredible journey across the open ocean.
