Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI) at Toyon Bay is a unique outdoor science school providing a exciting outdoor educational experience for students. It is one of three outdoor science schools on Catalina Island operated by the nonprofit corporation, Guided Discoveries.

Our focus on hands-on experiential science, utilizing state of the art labs and equipment, increases science literacy and environmental stewardship. CIMI’s expert instructors guide students through Island terrestrial biology, marine biology labs and field activities designed to stimulate minds, build character, develop social skills, and most importantly, create excitement about science.

Trip is for teen students grades 7-12 and includes ferry, lodging, meals and CIMI educational program. Parent chaperones pay the same cost as students (limited availability). Transportation to and from the ferry landing in long beach is required. EUs can be allocated over several months to pay the cost of camp. Payments will be allocated from the first month the form is turned in.  Fee: $255 per participant. Additional online waiver and health forms required prior to camp.
